I would like to quote from a few of the opening lines of your books - those you have written. I would do so without any identification but if you strongly object to my doing this even so please e-mail me at once. If you don`t object you needn`t do anything.

Susan, this neither an opening line, nor have I written it. But I was tickled by it anyway, and hope you might be too.
"A little early in getting to Chudleigh Hill - she had been rabbit-minding while Avice went to a matinee of The Woman in Black with Joyce and Duncan - Marion was about to slip into Barry's house by way of the side gate when Irene came out of her front door with a pair of secateurs in her hand." I wonder if you know or can guess who wrote it? |
