There are 23 copies at reasonable prices available on www.abebooks.com from UK booksellers (more from the US.) Go to the site, then go to ADVANCED SEARCH. Key in author and title and under Booksellers make it UK in the drop down box. From there you will find the 23 from prices of about £4 upwards plus postage.

I purchased my paperback copy of Lyndall Gordon's book from the Amazon UK marketplace for £0.19p plus £2.75 postage. Condition is as-new. Ordered on Saturday - arrived on Monday. Other copies are available from £0.01p! www.amazon.co.uk.

I read the Lyndall Gordon chapter for the SECOND time last night before I started TVO and I resisted reading any of the intros to the book (even though it had been written by Lorna Sage so I thought it would probably be good.) I'm on Virginia's side after such a focused glimpse at all the grief she had suffered and doing some thinking around the manipulative nature of her family so perhaps that's a step in the right direction.

Having read the chapter from the Biography I'm starting my Woolf voyage of discovery with an open sympathetic heart and a lot of admiration for what she managed to achieve. Lets hope I still feel this way after the Voyage Out.

Many thanks Susan - just ordered one this evening. Tried to get one today in numerous bookshops without success and a possible copy through the library in at least three weeks time!
